Burns Night Poem – Ode to a WiFi Router

Burns Night Poem – Ode to a WiFi Router

It’s Burns night here in Scotland and that can only mean one thing: haggis. Ok, maybe two things: haggis and whisky. No, wait – we’re forgetting the most important part of Burns night – poetry.

So in that spirit, we’ve prepared our very own Burns poem. Enjoy.

ODE TO A WIFI ROUTER

O my Router’s lights blink like a red, red rose,
That’s newly sprung in June.
O my Router opens up  the wide, wide internet,
That I unboxed at noon.

As beautiful as you are, my bonnie Router,
So deep in luve am I.
And I will reboot you as needed,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.

Till a’ the seas gang dry, my Router,
And Grumpy Cat melt wi’ the sun;
And I will luve the still, my dear,
While my connection TTL shall run.

And fare-thee-weel, my only Router!
And fare-thee-weel, a while!
And I will come again, my Router.
Tho’ ’twere a ping with a latency over 25 ms.

And if that wasn’t enough Burns for you, here’s everything you need to about the poet in a two minute animation:

As you can see, we’re a little nuts about good WiFi here. So if you’re running a retail, hospitality or any other small business, Stampede is here to help. You can even take us for a free spin by clicking the button below.

And no more poetry, we promise.
